• Lead one or more Security Engineering teams through managers, team leads, and individual contributors • Establish vision, priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability mechanisms • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain managers and engineers • Create succession plans and career growth opportunities • Define and execute multi-year Security Engineering roadmaps • Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, vendor management, and investment prioritization • Oversee enterprise security platforms supporting identity, cloud, application, endpoint, data protection, and security operations • Provide oversight for system architecture, platform integrations, security design standards, and engineering practices • Champion automation and platform-based security controls • Evaluate emerging technologies and guide build-versus-buy decisions • Direct complex cross-functional programs involving engineering teams, business stakeholders, and vendors • Establish service ownership practices, reliability objectives, KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement programs • Ensure technical controls support regulatory, customer, and internal security requirements • Communicate strategy, risk, progress, and investment needs to senior leadership and executives
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Experience designing, building, and operating production systems at scale • Prior experience in Security Engineering or closely related engineering disciplines • Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technical initiatives • Strong experience with coding, system integration, and automation • Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise security technologies • Experience leading multiple engineering teams and developing managers • Strong security engineering and platform architecture background • Ability to influence technical strategy across large, complex organizations • Experience driving organizational transformation and operational maturity • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern security platforms • Ability to prioritize competing business and security objectives • Experience managing large-scale vendor relationships and technology portfolios • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills • Experience building metrics-driven engineering organizations • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and organizational change • Preferred: experience leading Identity, Cloud Security, Application Security, Platform Security, or Security Systems Engineering organizations • Preferred: experience supporting rapidly growing SaaS or cloud-native technology companies • Preferred: experience managing globally distributed engineering teams • Preferred: understanding of NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and Zero Trust architectures • Preferred: experience managing security platform budgets and vendor portfolios • Preferred: advanced security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC • Background checks required • Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under applicable U.S. export control laws, if applicable • Candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during video interviews, with advance notice required for accommodations
