• Provide learning experiences in classroom, online, and/or lab settings under the supervision of the Dean of General Education • Use lectures, demonstrations, audiovisual aids, and technology to supplement instruction • Follow the established curriculum and syllabus while keeping students engaged • Create a positive educational climate and communicate clear learning objectives • Meet course and school-wide student performance goals • Manage student behavior in classroom and online environments • Observe and evaluate student performance • Identify and refer at-risk students to the Student Success Coordinator • Provide student advisement and academic counseling through tutoring and mentoring • Grade tests and projects, maintain grade books, and track attendance • Administer oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and training effectiveness • Participate in conferences, seminars, training sessions, and professional development activities • Provide input to and participate in academic committees • Perform other duties as assigned
• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA required • Minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area required • In Georgia, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia: Master’s degree in the discipline, or a Master’s degree in any discipline with 18 semester credit hours of relevant graduate coursework • Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years with an unrelated degree required • Minimum of three years of work experience as an educator preferred • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
