📋 Description

• Conduct extensive research on newly discovered vulnerabilities in operating systems, application software, infrastructure, and firewalls • Serve as a senior technical leader within the Security Operations Center (SOC) • Oversee enterprise-wide vulnerability management strategies • Investigate, analyze, and develop methods for exploiting vulnerabilities • Perform Security Impact Analysis to assess how system changes affect overall security • Lead advanced cyber vulnerability assessments of applications, systems, vendor IT networks, and cloud architecture • Analyze and validate scan results, correlate findings, determine severity and risk impact, and prioritize remediation • Maintain vulnerability tracking systems, dashboards, and compliance reports • Develop and present reports, briefs, and metrics to leadership • Conduct IT system, application, and business-process risk assessments and recommend security-control improvements • Maintain risk registers using threat intelligence and vulnerability data • Develop and perform cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation strategies • Collaborate with administrators, DevOps teams, researchers, CAB, and the IT Tech Debt Committee to remediate vulnerabilities • Lead remediation efforts with system owners and senior security staff • Apply threat modeling, penetration testing, and exploit development techniques across on-premises and cloud environments • Prepare recurring vulnerability updates and executive-level summaries • Support incident-response investigations and recommend improvements to system defenses • Develop and deliver vulnerability, remediation, and secure-system-design training • Provide expert support to SOC Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts for threat detection and incident response • Report directly to the SOC Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field • Six (6) years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 4 years focused on vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, or cyber risk management • Strong understanding of security frameworks, including NIST and MITRE ATT&CK • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools • Experience with EDR solutions • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Deep knowledge of NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and HITRUST frameworks • Preferred relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CND, GCIA, or GCIH • Preferred experience in healthcare or laboratory environments • Preferred master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM • Ability to comply with ARUP policies and procedures • Ability to work in a biohazard laboratory environment and use required PPE in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies • Ability to meet physical requirements including occasional mobility between work sites and inside the office, sedentary work, fine motor control, and close, far, and peripheral visual acuity
