📋 Description

• Execute accelerated month-end closes for assigned Partner Firms, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting workpapers. • Own trial balances and deliver variance commentary for assigned firms. • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly in FloQast and resolve exceptions. • Prepare audit PBCs and maintain audit-ready documentation. • Support accounting integration of newly acquired Partner Firms and train new firm staff. • Serve as a responsive point of contact for Partner Firms. • Guide offshore accounting team members through instructions, review, and feedback. • Collaborate across Ascend Partner Services and escalate cross-functional issues. • Identify, document, and share process improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university; CPA or progress toward CPA licensure preferred. • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a multi-entity environment, with hands-on ownership of the month-end close. • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with exposure to ASC 606 and ASC 842 preferred. • Experience with close management software (FloQast strongly preferred) and a modern ERP; advanced Excel skills. • Experience supporting external audits and working in a PE-backed, acquisitive, or high-growth environment is a plus. • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to getting it right the first time. • Proactive communicator who surfaces issues and wins early, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines at once.
