📋 Description

• Monitor cash and prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations • Assist with annual audits and special financial-management projects • Review online banking activity, update daily cash receipts logs, and monitor positive pay • Prepare bank reconciliations, assigned general-ledger journal entries, and account reconciliations and roll-forwards • Review capital expenditure requests, obtain appropriate signatures, and maintain expenditure logs • Maintain the fixed-asset system and record depreciation • Prepare fixed-asset reconciliations and annual Tangible Personal Property tax returns • Handle prepaid accounting and maintain the prepaid module • Monitor postage accounts and perform related tasks • Prepare accrual and reclassification journal entries • Account for the internal pharmacy, including data collection, inventory control, accruals, and variance analysis • Record monthly debt, bond, and intangible-asset journal entries • Compile monthly legal and consulting details for analysis • Prepare monthly financial supplemental schedules • Reconcile balance-sheet accounts • Complete quarterly and annual government surveys • Represent the Company professionally and comply with applicable regulations, policies, confidentiality, safety, security, and quality-improvement practices • Participate in professional development, research, educational activities, and knowledge sharing

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 1 year accounting experience preferred; full-time internships may be considered • 1 year or less of hands-on experience with general ledger and related subsystems • Skill in 10-key by touch • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Computer skills appropriate to the position • Strong customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and with a team • Solid critical thinking and organizational skills • Knowledge and competency in accounting and analysis • Knowledge of regulatory requirements appropriate for the position • Satisfactorily complete competency requirements for this position • Consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment • Ongoing compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy • Eligibility verification through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse after a conditional offer and ongoing eligibility
