📋 Description

• Lead the development, operations, and management of end-to-end examination readiness products aligned with ASCP strategic priorities • Develop and oversee the full lifecycle of examination readiness products, including interactive practice exams, in-service examinations, and online courses • Coordinate content development workflows for item banks, including authoring, peer review, editorial refinement, copyediting, and final approval • Develop and align item bank policies and procedures for composition, quality, and difficulty • Design and manage SME contribution, peer evaluation, and revision processes across volunteer committees • Lead examination and board preparation product lines using test development, curriculum development, technology, and adult learning practices • Configure, upload, test, and optimize digital products in online delivery platforms • Interpret learner performance data to inform item revisions, calibration, and benchmarking • Create dashboards and visually apparent performance reports • Evaluate surveys and customer feedback to identify product improvements and new development opportunities • Serve as staff liaison to SME product committees, recruit committee members, and lead committee meetings • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, publications staff, learning experience designers, vendors, and IT • Monitor competitive developments and best practices in item bank design, psychometrics, medical education, and LMS functionality • Develop and monitor product revenues, expenses, and non-financial KPIs • Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership • Identify program director needs and create strategic initiatives, curriculum-aligned tools, learning modules, and faculty resources • Expand awareness, integration, and sustained usage of examination readiness tools across programs • Design and deploy evaluation techniques and technology-based products • Develop business plans and deliver strategic assessments and analytics to the ASCP Commission on Continuing Professional Development • Supervise, mentor, provide feedback to, delegate authority to, and conduct performance reviews for team members • Develop and monitor department and program budgets, analyze variance, and initiate corrective actions • Ensure compliance with ACCME, MOC, and BOC guidelines • Collaborate with ASCP departments to manage customer support activities for online products • Assume additional duties supporting organizational strategic goals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Education, or a related field required • Coursework or equivalent experience in laboratory sciences • Master’s degree in adult education, business administration, or instructional technology preferred • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in medical laboratory, nonprofit organization, or related leadership roles • Supervisory, management, and/or project management experience of 5+ years • Experience supervising professional staff • Working knowledge of laboratory medicine and/or pathology • Strong knowledge of the pathology and laboratory medicine community and examination readiness operational processes • Advanced project management skills • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial and performance data • Proven ability to implement systems, standardize processes, and drive continuous improvement • Strong supervisory, mentoring, relationship management, committee management, and facilitation skills • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities while maintaining attention to detail • Collaborative leadership style with cross-divisional influence • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop plans and agendas • Ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision • Experience managing volunteer committees preferred • Experience working in a professional association environment preferred • Experience in strategic planning and marketing • Program budget management and staff supervision • Well-developed time management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • Flexibility, quick thinking, self-direction, and willingness to learn • Compliance knowledge related to ACCME, MOC, and BOC guidelines
