📋 Description

• Test and strengthen the quality of Ashby's product • Decide what to test, when to test, and which product areas to automate • Perform approximately 70% hands-on manual testing • Work with engineers and stakeholders as features ship • Reproduce bugs reported by customers and identify edge cases and product blind spots • Coordinate testing across entire feature areas for larger launches • Write Playwright end-to-end tests and expand test coverage, approximately 30% of the role • Build on the existing Playwright suite and page object structure • Learn the product deeply and test real pull requests early in the onboarding process • Participate in onboarding, peer pairing, training sessions, and 30-, 60-, and 90-day reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Strong product instincts and ability to test like a user • Ability to reproduce and narrow down bugs • Self-sufficient, able to scope testing work and determine when to ask for help • Interest in growing automation skills • Clear, concise writing • Comfortable writing code and reading others' code • Some experience writing E2E tests within an existing framework • Willingness to perform predominantly hands-on manual testing • Ability to use or learn Playwright and TypeScript for E2E tests • Experience or ability to learn TestRail, BrowserStack, and Postman • Participation in a live coding technical screen
