📋 Description

• Report to the Senior Director, Product Development and serve as the primary technical authority for the ASPCA Information Technology Salesforce instance • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support • Lead and manage a team of three Salesforce professionals • Align team efforts with organizational outcomes and ensure project plans and delivery commitments are met • Provide mentoring, coaching, training, feedback, performance evaluations, and career development • Plan, develop, and implement custom, scalable Salesforce solutions • Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions • Oversee workflows, validation rules, approval processes, assignment rules, processes, and flows • Oversee CI/CD and Gearset pipeline management for successful deployments • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, clients, and technology colleagues on requirements, roadmaps, prioritization, and solution design • Monitor Salesforce system health, usage, data quality, data integrity, security, capacity, and storage • Conduct code reviews, enforce standards, optimize performance, and ensure security protocol adherence • Serve as the escalation point for complex issues • Provide off-hours support for mission-critical applications and travel approximately 5% annually as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience required • 2+ years as a people manager leading and managing technical teams required • Experience acting in a Technical Lead role and using Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning and estimation • Experience developing custom Salesforce solutions • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II Certifications required • Advanced proficiency with Force.com Platform, including Apex, VisualForce, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, and unit testing • Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Lightning, Lightning Web Components, and Flow Builder • Advanced proficiency with Salesforce platform out-of-the-box functionality and configuration • Experience with a Salesforce DevOps platform; Gearset preferred • Proficiency in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs • Proficiency with the Force.com Migration Tool and Salesforce Data Loader • Understanding of data migration from CSV, SQL, or other systems to Salesforce • Proficiency with GitHub-based code change control • Knowledge of relational databases, database architecture, data modeling, and ETL tools • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, SaaS, and IT best practices • Knowledge of complex business systems integration, object-oriented design patterns, and development • Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML • Familiarity with CRMs, Airtable, or BI tools preferred • Ability and willingness to travel up to 5% annually • Must be available for off-hours support of mission-critical applications • Ability to exemplify ASPCA core values, behavioral competencies, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
