📋 Description

• Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities • Conduct exploratory analyses and ad hoc research to answer critical business questions • Deliver actionable recommendations supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements • Translate complex analytical findings into business-friendly presentations and reports • Develop, test, and support predictive models for pricing optimization, claims forecasting, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and business performance forecasting • Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve business problems • Conduct A/B testing and program effectiveness analysis • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting solutions using Power BI and Tableau • Partner with stakeholders to define business metrics and reporting requirements • Monitor business performance and identify emerging trends through visualization and reporting • Partner with underwriting, product, marketing, operations, and leadership teams on analytical projects • Collaborate with data engineering and governance teams to improve data quality, consistency, and documentation • Contribute to curated data assets and analytical datasets • Share best practices and foster continuous learning and innovation • Work with internal and external stakeholders through virtual collaboration • Occasionally travel for meetings, training, conferences, or company events

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field • 4+ years of experience in a data science, advanced analytics, or related role • Experience within the insurance or financial services industry is strongly preferred • Experience working with insurance-related data, including quotes, policies, claims, rating, or customer data, is highly desirable • Auto insurance experience is a plus • Strong expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL • Experience with Power BI or Tableau • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and create scalable, repeatable analytical solutions • Experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks, or similar cloud-based data platforms is a plus • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer for 6 to 8 hours per day • Ability to perform frequent keyboarding, mouse operation, and repetitive fine motor activities • Ability to read and analyze computer screens, documents, and detailed data visualizations • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to occasionally move throughout the office and carry light office materials • Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds occasionally • Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines
