📋 Description

• Review and access requests for release of information compliance across UW Health • Prioritize, process, or reject release-of-information requests • Determine the most efficient delivery method while protecting patient care, claims payment, regulatory compliance, and privacy • Maintain privacy and security of all accessed and released protected health information • Process timely and accurate release-of-information requests

🎯 Requirements

• No minimum education required • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Associate's Degree in HIM, HIT, or other relevant discipline preferred • One (1) to Three (3) years prior experience performing release of information activities, patient access and/or scheduling and registration or direct patient care experience required • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or another related discipline may be substituted for years of experience • Experience with EMR required • EPIC and Care Everywhere experience preferred • RHIT preferred • RHIA preferred • CAHIMS preferred • CPHIMS preferred • CRIS preferred • CNA preferred • EPIC Certification preferred • Must be in an approved remote work state for UW Health to work remotely • Availability for scheduled shifts from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST, Monday–Friday; hours may vary based on operational needs
