📋 Description

• Analyze and recommend technical solutions for complex projects supporting Claims and other impacted business areas • Define and deliver the Business Intelligence strategy • Deliver Business Intelligence solutions and executive/operational dashboards • Act as customer/IT liaison during analysis, requirements definition, and design activities • Maintain understanding of the business, strategies, and roadmap • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document requirements • Collaborate with technical staff to develop solution alternatives • Set clear expectations for reporting deliverables, priorities, and timescales • Identify, understand, and document current and future reporting service requirements • Support data processing activities to maintain, enhance, and implement efficient solutions • Identify and acquire relevant external data from XACT, DXC, and Kwikwork and guide integration into internal systems • Participate in data validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) • Review outputs for quality and accuracy before customer delivery • Support business applications and data access needs • Manage user access to reporting platforms such as DWH • Identify, research, and escalate data issues to technical teams such as DWH or DB2 • Train others on automated reports and support knowledge transfer during work transitions • Compile and communicate system or business process changes • Obtain data from databases and other sources • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies • Prepare reports and presentations with findings and actionable recommendations

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience • 3+ years of claims experience; Property Insurance claims preferred • 3+ years of direct client engagement experience and providing user insights directly to leadership • 4+ years of Business Intelligence Metrics & Reporting experience using Power BI • 4+ years of strong MS SQL experience for query, profiling and testing • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access • Experience with Data Warehousing/Data Marts • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, or related field • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to management, team members, business and technology professionals • Ability to work within tight time constraints on multiple complex risk projects • Ability to collect, organize, process, and verify complex data from multiple sources • Ability to understand a customer’s business environment and provide appropriate solutions • Ability to work with the BI team to develop technical solutions consistent with the organization’s data analysis strategy • Ability to interact with internal and external personnel to develop specifications meeting customer requirements • Some overnight travel to client or other Assurant offices may be required (<20%) • Employment contingent upon completion of a required identity verification process
