• Deliver instruction to students in grades 6–12 as a digital educator supporting several grades and students within a partnership. • Determine instructional techniques, strategies and methods, and adapt curriculum and learning styles to meet and assess student needs. • Maintain communication with parents/guardians about academic and discipline issues through phone calls, notes, progress reports and other media. • Perform clerical duties, including logging communication in SIS and finalizing grades. • Meet regular and predictable attendance requirements as assigned by the manager. • Develop activities, resources, strategies, methods and lesson plans aligned with learning objectives and school guides. • Assess and evaluate student performance, behavior and progress through grades, progress reports and learning-objective assessments. • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information. • Contribute to professional growth of self and colleagues by sharing and planning curriculum, staying current with educational trends and maintaining current teaching certificates. • Work collaboratively to achieve the overall purposes of the school program. • Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited college or university. • Valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be required depending on the area of instruction, or passed appropriate AEPA or NES proficiency exams. • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience. • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. • Satisfactory criminal background check. • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. • Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor, and take initiative. • Command of theoretical knowledge of human behavior and learning, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques. • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with teachers, parents, students, alumni, corporate partners, vendors and admissions personnel. • Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis. • Proven written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Effective problem-solving and self-motivated learning. • Ability to use instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses. • Proficiency with technology, computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). • Must meet the stated physical demands, with reasonable accommodations available where applicable.
• This position is not eligible for benefits. • Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences, with travel locations potentially requiring overnight stays.
