📋 Description

• Ensure the Asylum Access family of organizations fulfills and advances its mission globally • Lead the global systems change portfolio • Position the global organization to support national-level legal empowerment and policy advocacy • Guide a bold, cohesive vision for refugee human rights • Shape global organizational strategy, priorities, and performance with national Executive Directors • Steward organizational vision and role in the global refugee response ecosystem • Set and execute organizational strategy across global and national organizations • Oversee budgets and resource allocation • Ensure strong programs, operations, and teams • Gather information, assess trends, and guide organizational adaptation • Develop theories of change and multi-year strategic, operational, and annual plans • Maintain organizational coherence with mission, vision, values, and brand • Develop governance structures and build consensus on organization-wide decisions • Inspire, motivate, and develop staff • Steward global leadership cohesion and collaborative leadership culture • Supervise, hire, onboard, and terminate National Executive Directors • Oversee program and advocacy impact and alignment with human rights principles • Advance global reputation and influence with displacement, human rights, and migration decision-makers • Attract and retain funding, people, partnerships, and reputation • Cultivate funder and donor relationships • Shape global systems change goals and priorities • Assess effectiveness and impact and adjust programs as needed • Ensure sound finance, accounting, human resources, systems, processes, risk management, and resource practices • Support Board governance, recruitment, learning, development, and ambassadorial work

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated history of significant impact in refugee rights, legal empowerment and/or policy advocacy • Executive-level management experience in a nonprofit setting, including people management and complex operations • Fundraising experience • Outstanding communication skills • Creative and effective problem-solving skills • Leadership skills, including deep integrity and the ability to make difficult decisions and lead through transition • Experience leading and working with teams across different global contexts • Ability to adapt leadership styles to advance diversity, equity and inclusion • Time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and delegate • Decision-making skills grounded in shared leadership, equity, collaboration, sustainability, and community-centered decision-making • Ability to anticipate trends, have foresight, and steer an organization • Decency and care toward others • Flexibility to work across international timezones • Fluency in English; fluency in Spanish and/or other languages is a significant plus • Ability to undertake international travel
