📋 Description

• Develop efficient and reliable design packages for medium- and high-voltage substations within multi-discipline teams • Lead or support document control functions, including ProjectWise management, drawing requests, drawing setup/preparation, submittals, and transmittals • Translate engineering sketches and markups into documented schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and three-line diagrams • Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements • Assist with site visits, station walkdowns, proposals, and project meetings • Perform design activities in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and AtkinsRéalis policies and procedures • Coordinate design activities with multi-discipline project team members • Review and incorporate field construction marks into as-built drawing packages • Maintain complete engineering and project documentation, design packages, as-built requirements, and return data information • Maintain working relationships with engineering disciplines, Drafting, Project Management, and other internal support groups

🎯 Requirements

• Drafting diploma from a recognized technical institute or equivalent work experience • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience focused on substation design for Intermediate positions • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience focused on substation design for Senior positions • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office • Experience with ProjectWise document management software • MicroStation experience is an asset • Prior utility or utility consulting experience is a plus • Strong client focus • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Strong command of the English language, with good written and oral communication skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and provide project ownership
