📋 Description

• Design, lay out, install, and maintain piping systems and associated supports • Support the overall design and analysis of mechanical components, systems, and piping designs for nuclear and commercial projects • Create detailed engineering drawings, P&IDs, and 3D models for piping routes, equipment placement, and plant setup • Perform engineering calculations using traditional and advanced methods, applicable design codes, and regulatory requirements • Specify piping materials, fittings, valves, and support systems • Perform piping stress analysis using software such as PipeStress, AutoPipe, MathCAD, GT STRUDL, and ANSYS • Prepare technical specifications, requisitions, and vendor recommendations for piping components • Review technical documents, drawings, calculations, design and analysis reports, requirements, manuals, bills of materials, specifications, and data sheets • Develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs to identify and resolve equipment and system problems • Work in multidisciplinary project teams and ensure design integration across disciplines • Mentor, guide, and perform quality reviews of junior colleagues when needed • Work to assigned schedules and initiate corrective measures to overcome delays • Operate independently with minimal guidance • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical engineering or related technical or engineering field • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience • Experience in nuclear industry preferred • PE preferred • Master’s degree preferred • Effective written and verbal communication skills • In-depth knowledge and experience in piping and systems design • Knowledge of industry codes and regulations • Ability to complete complex technical work with limited supervision • Higher-level knowledge and application of fundamental principles and concepts related to piping and mechanical design • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks • Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered
