📋 Description

• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, and analyze legal liability • Handle multi-line property claims in an assigned territory, with an emphasis on property claims • Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to become familiar with insurance coverage • Work toward claim resolution and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary • Ensure claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner • Conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on-site • Provide service to agents, insureds, and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely • Handle insurance claims in the field through the claim lifecycle, including investigation, evaluation, and resolution

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience handling property and casualty claims • Minimum of 3 years handling multi-line property claims, with an emphasis on property claims • Field claims handling experience preferred but not required • Knowledge of Xactimate software preferred but not required • Above average written and verbal communication skills • Ability to resolve complex issues • Ability to organize and interpret data • Ability to handle multiple assignments • Ability to effectively deal with a diverse group of individuals • Ability to accurately handle mathematical problems, including geometry (area and volume) and financial calculations • Ability to drive an automobile • Valid driver license • Driving record consistent with the Company’s underwriting guidelines for coverage • Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
