• Manage all aspects of service for dealerships and customers • Ensure satisfaction with service work • Assist customers and dealers with troubleshooting and repair of service-related problems • Manage overall service delivery performance and customer satisfaction for the assigned region • Develop corrective action plans with dealerships and customers to close service delivery gaps • Track, report, and follow up on product and technical issues by working with the Autocar Solutions Team • Review dealer service operations and suggest improvements, including required tooling • Promote and ensure dealerships have Autocar-trained technicians to handle workload • Develop and manage strong relationships across customer organizations and maintain confidence in Autocar products • Build relationships with Regional Business Managers and National Account Sales • Coordinate with engineering and technical service departments to meet service performance and quality specifications • Coordinate cost-effective, self-managed travel schedules • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Class B Commercial Driver License or ability to obtain • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification or ability to obtain • Cummins Certification preferred • Allison Certification preferred • Ability to obtain Autocar Master Technician Certification • Previous experience in the Heavy-Duty Truck industry required • Specific experience in the Refuse industry preferred • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office • Knowledge of AXIS (Team Center Engineering - IMAN, QAD, ADNET) preferred • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods while working on computer-aided design software • Ability to stand, walk, and bend during lab testing or production floor visits • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds • Visual acuity for reviewing detailed schematics, inspecting prototypes, and using computer screens
