📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage database structures in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) • Ensure database performance, security, and availability • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks • Implement and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive healthcare data • Collaborate with IT, development, and compliance teams to support business objectives • Maintain documentation for database architectures, processes, and compliance activities • Stay current with advancements in cloud database technologies and healthcare data regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • 4+ years of experience in database administration • Postgres and MySQL experience required • Oracle and MS SQL Server experience preferred • Proficiency with AWS required • Experience managing large fleets of AWS RDS and Aurora databases in active production systems • Experience with SQL query language required • NoSQL experience would be nice • Strong understanding of database security practices and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH, PCI DSS) • Scripting skills (e.g. Python, Terraform) for automation and DevOps support • Experience with Lambda is a plus • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty)
