📋 Description

• Develop and enhance allocation and optimization algorithms for distributing products between distribution centers and stores • Maintain and improve inventory simulators for scenario testing, replenishment policies, backtesting and what-if analyses • Convert prototypes in notebooks into production-ready solutions using large-scale data pipelines • Analyze and communicate business KPIs, such as service level, stockouts, turnover and fill rate • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on the operation and evolution of pipelines in AWS • Apply statistics, probability and Data Science techniques to complex business problems • Contribute technically to solution improvements and support other data scientists when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or a related field • Proven experience in applied Data Science projects with business impact • Advanced Python, especially NumPy and Pandas • SQL • Knowledge of statistics and probability applied to forecasting and service level analysis • Experience with PySpark and large-scale data processing/pipelines • Experience with AWS, especially Glue and S3 • Nice-to-have: experience with Numba JIT, allocation and optimization algorithms, multi-echelon inventory simulation, Polars, Streamlit, Plotly, Terraform, CI/CD, AWS Step Functions, and technical leadership/mentoring of data scientists
