📋 Description

• Provide legal, administrative, and clerical support to the Legal Services Office • Provide paralegal assistance to AOC and Arizona Judicial Department staff • Independently perform assigned Legal Services Office work within established policies and procedures • Compose and produce draft responses to questions and contract requests • Prepare summaries of court opinions, rules, litigation reports, manuals, internal reports, and final Legal Services work product approved by an attorney • Track, screen, and coordinate requests for legal services • Prioritize a complex and demanding workload • Communicate verbally and in writing with all users of Legal Services • Maintain paper and electronic files • Work is reviewed by the Chief Counsel or Assistant Counsel

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or completion of an accredited paralegal program • Training in use of legal research software applications • Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement • Two years’ experience as a legal assistant or paralegal • Extensive experience using office software applications • Skill in legal research and writing for preparation of memoranda, contracts, and manuals • Understanding of court structure, judicial process, legal procedures, legislative process, and office functions • Ability to organize a complex, demanding Legal Services workload, set priorities, and complete assigned tasks accurately and timely • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • May be required to complete computer testing, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, proofreading, and typing
