📋 Description

• Maintain, design, implement, troubleshoot, administer, and support enterprise Oracle relational database environments • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, document, and support Oracle databases, including Oracle 19c, in highly available production and non-production environments • Establish and enforce database standards, procedures, and controls • Administer enterprise Oracle database environments and recommend database management, infrastructure platform, and data-distribution improvements • Manage database naming and structural standards, including schemas, tables, indexes, records, and database objects • Support database security, privileged access, encryption, auditing, and regulatory compliance • Monitor backups, archive and redo logs, alert logs, performance statistics, capacity, and scheduled maintenance • Design and support highly available architectures, replication, disaster recovery, standby databases, and clustering technologies • Translate logical database requirements into secure, supportable designs and apply normalization or denormalization as appropriate • Plan and execute performance tests; monitor workloads and tune SQL, PL/SQL, memory, storage, and database configuration • Manage tablespaces, datafiles, disk capacity, space utilization, database objects, and storage allocation • Implement, document, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures using RMAN and related Oracle technologies • Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and participate in after-hours support and maintenance • Maintain documentation for production, test, development, backup, and disaster recovery database environments • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, audit, and vendor teams to resolve issues, support audits, and deliver required materials • Evaluate Oracle environments, tools, design aids, and service offerings; interact with vendors and recommend purchases or improvements • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8 years of equivalent job experience • Six years of experience supporting production database systems, including system analysis and/or programming, and Oracle database administration • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database 19c administration, architecture, security, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high-availability technologies • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and enterprise storage-area networks • Knowledge of and compliance with applicable state and federal banking regulations and laws • Advanced knowledge of Oracle database administration and programming techniques, SQL and PL/SQL, schema and object management, patching, upgrades, maintenance, documentation, testing, debugging, performance tuning, capacity management, backup and recovery, and production operations • Ability to suggest procedures, implement enhanced Oracle database administration techniques, automate repeatable operational tasks, and improve database services while maintaining security, availability, and recoverability • Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Intermediate math skills, including calculating interest and percentages, balancing accounts, and computing rates, ratios, and percentages • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to make decisions with significant impact on the immediate work unit and cross-functional departments • Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management • Ability to work with little to no supervision • High school diploma or equivalent required • Oracle Certified Professional or comparable Oracle technical certification preferred • Experience with ITIL-based service management, project management, and Six Sigma or related quality and process-improvement practices preferred
