• Authorize initial admitting and conduct concurrent reviews for medical necessity • Collaborate with outpatient providers and other reviewers • Utilize clinical experience and collaboration skills • Conduct telephonic or electronic document review • Monitor quality of care concerns • Educate and recommend alternative care plans for treatment not meeting medical necessity criteria
• Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field • Independent or associate licensure in one of the following: Social work, professional counseling or marriage and family • Licenses include: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC, or Licensed Psychologist • 3 years clinical experience (i.e. counseling, care management, case management, care coordination) • Working knowledge of care management and case management • Critical thinking skills • Problem-solving abilities • Effective communication skills • Time management skills • Ability to work effectively independently and in interdisciplinary team format
