📋 Description

• Assist self-pay patients through the Colorado Hospital Discounted Care application process • Process applications and accept payments • Conduct customer service, registration, point-of-service collections, and payer authorization activities • Verify patient demographics, eligibility, insurance benefits, consents, and authorizations • Document registration details and load correct payers to accounts • Collect patient responsibility and meet collection targets • Provide financial counseling and assist with Medicaid and financial assistance applications • Liaise with patients, billing departments, vendors, physician offices, and payors • Resolve account issues and patient concerns • Complete daily assignments, maintain productivity logs, and meet accuracy and productivity goals • Perform additional patient financial services tasks such as deposits, patient transport, and precepting new hires

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service and/or Call Center • Minimum of 1 year experience in Finance and/or Patient Financial Services • Proficient in Excel • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge • Knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry experience processes normally acquired over one or more years of work experience • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision and to work independently • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Strong knowledge of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software • CHAA certification preferred • Work experience with the Company's systems and processes preferred • Previous cash collections experience preferred • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
