📋 Description

• Maintain the BHSF Master Patient Index (MPI) and unique patient identifier across acute care hospitals, outpatient services, ambulatory surgical centers, and Baptist Health medical groups. • Identify and correct patient MPI records across clinical, financial, and administrative systems. • Maintain medical-record integrity to support patient safety and continuity of care. • Consolidate clinical patient data for Health Information Exchange to improve quality, safety, and cost of care. • Work as part of a team to meet individual and departmental goals. • Provide patient-care support through required on-call coverage, including nights and weekends.

🎯 Requirements

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper. • Minimum of two years of acute care experience in medical record analysis. • Minimum required experience: 3 years. • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. • Knowledge of health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology. • Ability to organize work priorities and be attentive to fine details with good decision-making skills in a high-volume, high-producing work setting. • Excellent computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). • Typing speed of 25 wpm. • Passing MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint testing. • On-call coverage including nights and weekends for patient care support. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
