âą Combine clinical practice with education and leadership as an expert clinician in the related specialty practice âą Oversee and perform concurrent, pre-bill, and retrospective audits of billed charges against medical records to identify missing revenue âą Identify opportunities related to proper charging and determine root causes âą Work with the leadership team to develop appropriate and standardized charging and documentation practices âą Participate in the annual departmental chargemaster review âą Assist in training clinical staff on changes in the chargemaster
âą Bachelor's degree âą Registered Nurse license âą Minimum 3 years of clinical experience âą Minimum required experience: 4 years âą Procedural coding, billing and audit experience required âą Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations and rules applicable to billing government payers is helpful âą Demonstrated ability to be self directed with excellent organization, analytical and interpersonal skills âą Excellent oral and written communications skills âą Strong attention to detail âą National certification in related department specialty preferred
