• Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments. • Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information. • Register patients and enter data into the scheduling system. • Work in a call center-type environment. • Meet individual quality metrics. • Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members. • Practice the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence.
• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper. • Complete and pass the Patient Access training course. • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. • Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology (desired). • Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR applications, etc.) and accurate typing skills. • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines. • Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole preferred. • Less than 1 year of minimum required experience.
