📋 Description
• Evaluate documentation using coding and clinical expertise to ensure coding specificity and accuracy • Provide guidance and education to coders, providers, medical assistants, practice managers and ancillary staff • Educate staff on clinical documentation best practices and correct coding • Work remotely and travel within areas served by BHMG
🎯 Requirements
• High School/GED • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Professional (CCP), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) or equivalent certification from AAPC, AHIMA or other acceptable professional organization • 2 years in an education position preferred • Clinical experience a plus • Residency in KY or IN • Ability to work remotely and travel within areas served by BHMG • Self-motivated, flexible, confident presenter
