📋 Description

• Directly manage a distributed team of 8–15 Fleet Technicians across the Eastern Region and 10+ states • Recruit, onboard, develop, coach, and evaluate technician talent • Manage technician scheduling, on-call rotations, and deployment coverage to meet regional fleet SLAs • Own regional fleet Uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and first-time-fix-rate metrics and report weekly to the Head of Data & Fleet Operations • Serve as escalation point for complex field issues and deploy or dispatch senior technicians as needed • Conduct root cause analysis and partner with Engineering on systemic fixes • Manage regional parts inventory and tooling supply chain • Lead responses to fleet-wide safety events and field stops • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, site-specific HSE, and other applicable regulations • Represent Bedrock in customer relationships, QBRs, and site reviews • Communicate fleet status, maintenance windows, and incident updates to Customer Success and customers • Ensure contractual SLAs and customer uptime commitments are met • Collaborate with Account Management and Sales on regional expansion planning • Ensure repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and parts usage are documented in the Fleet Management System • Enforce standardized maintenance procedures and corrective actions • Manage the regional operations budget and identify cost reductions • Develop operational playbooks, escalation paths, and standards • Provide field intelligence and customer feedback to Product and Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in field service, fleet operations, or technical field management • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing field technicians • Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple states or regions • Hands-on technical background in electromechanical systems, robotics, industrial automation, aerospace, heavy equipment, EVs, or autonomous vehicles • Track record owning and improving fleet uptime, MTTR, MTBF, or first-time-fix-rate KPIs • Strong analytical skills and ability to use fleet monitoring data and summary reports • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders and enterprise customers • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% across the Central Region, including overnight and multi-day trips • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record • Ability to operate a commercial service vehicle if required • Proficiency with field service management software such as Fleetio, SAP, Salesforce Field Service, IFS, or comparable FMS/ERP platforms • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced manufacturing preferred • Familiarity with ISO reliability standards or equivalent frameworks preferred • Experience managing preventive maintenance and complex corrective repairs preferred • Six Sigma, Lean, or other formal process improvement certification preferred • Prior venture-backed or high-growth technology company experience preferred • Ability to work outdoors in noise, dust, sun, heat, rain, and varying weather • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and occasionally work in confined or elevated spaces with appropriate PPE • Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings, or on-call shifts • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely • Legally authorized to work in the United States
