📋 Description

• Lead the design and analysis of structural systems across multiple market sectors • Manage structural engineering projects and lead project teams, ensuring delivery compliance with client requirements, QA/QC standards, budgets, and schedules • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and project partners throughout design and construction • Prepare and review engineering analyses, design calculations, and construction documents • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices • Oversee drafting and review of BIM and AutoCAD plans • Develop cost-effective and innovative design solutions • Participate in proposal and RFI preparation • Mentor and oversee junior engineers and designers through technical guidance, coaching, and quality reviews • Perform facility analyses, site reviews, and moderate design tasks for varied structural systems and materials • Use Revit, RISA, and ETABS for design and documentation • Report to and collaborate closely with the Florida team • Help expand Bennett & Pless’ presence throughout Florida

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field • Professional Engineer (PE) license • 8+ years of structural engineering experience • Experience managing structural engineering projects, leading project teams, and balancing multiple priorities and deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to build effective client and team relationships • Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis/modeling software used in building-structure design • Preferred: Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field • Preferred: Structural Engineer (SE) license • Preferred: Experience with masonry, wind design, wood design, and/or other specialized structural systems
