📋 Description

• Facilitate classroom and distance/distributed learning • Prepare courses and syllabi • Coordinate and plan class curricula • Assess and evaluate learners • Mentor and advise students • Hold office hours and meet with students • Collaborate with university stakeholders and academic departments to support candidate success • Potentially supervise a student teaching assistant

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, or doctoral/other terminal degree depending upon course needs • Valid Pupil Personnel School Counselor Credential or reciprocal credential from another state • Minimum three (3) years of PK-12 school counselor experience • Experience with data driven decision making preferred • Evidence of leadership in school counseling preferred • Demonstrated currently in school counseling-related professional literature preferred • Active membership in professional school counseling organizations preferred • Knowledge of the ASCA National Model, role statements, ethical standards, and related content preferred • Experience or commitment to technology in distance learning and university teaching preferred • Ability to incorporate experiential learning preferred • Resume/CV and cover letter • Three professional references if invited to interview • Copy of credential or credential number • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated • Accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability • Ability to explain complex requirements clearly and concisely • Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Ability to guide candidates toward task completion • Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills • Cultural competence and ability to interact effectively with diverse people • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification
