📋 Description

• Automate data transformation pipelines using SQL, dbt, CI/CD, GitHub, and Google Cloud • Create intuitive data products and visualizations using tools such as Tableau • Participate in stakeholder and engineering meetings and clarify business requirements • Build insurance-domain subject matter expertise to anticipate partner needs • Recommend and adopt data governance practices to improve data quality and controls • Construct data validation checks and automated unit tests • Collaborate with data analysts and engineers, sharing work and cross-training teammates • Ensure data quality through automated monitoring and alerting • Occasionally participate in an on-call rotation • Contribute ideas, review others’ work, and share team ownership • Support team member growth and development

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience • Strong SQL skills, including complex querying in cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery • Strong understanding of data transformation and quality engineering, including dbt and Airflow • Understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile development, CI/CD, and GitHub • Strong understanding of data organization, data modeling, and schema design • Track record of writing efficient queries and reducing compute costs • Ability to communicate data and findings through concise summaries and clear data visualizations • Demonstrated experience with AI coding assistants within IDEs or agentic CLIs • Experience documenting designs and code changes through GitHub, Lucid, Jira, or Confluence • Must reside in the contiguous 48 states of the United States • Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship requirements must be disclosed
