📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end SEO program • Conduct regular performance analyses benchmarked against Federal, DoD, and industry best practices • Deliver actionable recommendations to leadership • Establish SEO baseline metrics and KPIs and report progress against targets • Analyze search visibility, user behavior, conversion rates, and technical SEO health • Conduct SEO validation checks for broken links, HTTP errors, and site performance issues • Coordinate issue remediation with technical stakeholders • Lead keyword research focused on user intent and long-tail search behavior • Design and implement internal linking, schema markup, and site-speed optimizations • Develop link-building and content-promotion strategies to build domain authority • Extend SEO strategy to voice search and event-specific landing pages • Incorporate audience research and communications planning into keyword targeting and content priorities • Contribute SEO test scenarios and success metrics to usability testing • Advise content strategy, lifecycle management, planning, and governance • Advise content and editorial teams on SEO best practices • Provide SEO and keyword input to paid and earned media planning • Optimize social media and community-facing content for searchability and discoverability • Guide social media content planning using keyword and search trends • Deliver staff training and SEO workshops • Provide regular SEO reporting and present findings to Government stakeholders • Perform other relevant duties as qualified or trained

🎯 Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance required • BA/BS in Marketing, Digital Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field • Minimum 10 years of hands-on SEO experience • Experience with technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content-driven SEO strategy for large, high-traffic websites • Experience with SEO/analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog, or equivalent • Experience setting and tracking SEO KPIs and delivering data-driven performance reporting to non-technical stakeholders • Working knowledge of schema markup/structured data, site speed optimization, and technical SEO diagnostics • Experience developing keyword strategy grounded in user intent and long-tail search research • Legally authorized to work in the US • Nice to have: experience supporting SEO for DoD, federal, or government-facing digital presence • Nice to have: voice-search optimization and FAQ/structured content strategy • Nice to have: relevant certifications such as Google Analytics, HubSpot SEO, or SEMrush • Nice to have: experience mentoring junior SEO or content staff
