📋 Description

• Lead the project engineering lifecycle from project award through design delivery, construction support, and closeout • Serve as lead engineering contact to Owners and Engineer of Record teams on submittals, reviews, procurement deliverables, page turns, and AHJ outreach • Ensure designs comply with facility requirements, codes, owner contracts, and company best practices • Own Basis of Design development and RFI management across wind, solar, BESS, and gas projects • Perform drawing, design, and constructability reviews • Validate equipment and material quantity takeoffs • Coordinate design schedules, resource plans, and cross-discipline coordination across the project portfolio • Review contracts and subcontracts and provide technical recommendations • Coordinate with supply chain, estimating, and construction teams on equipment and material selection and approval • Support project man-camp siting and development • Partner with construction management to ensure field teams have required plans, quantities, and parameters • Collaborate with departments, vendors, and outside engineering firms on safer, lower-cost, and more efficient methods and technologies • Lead change management, documenting scope and design deviations through change narratives • Lead lessons-learned sessions and incorporate findings into future work • Mentor, train, onboard, and develop engineering staff • Participate in interviews and assess talent for hiring and promotion decisions • Drive consistent design approaches across multiple projects • Lead initiatives to improve processes, standards, and cross-functional collaboration • Set goals and support direct reports through the goal-setting process • Communicate with Owners, EOR teams, project engineering staff, and internal stakeholders • Adhere to company cultural basics and the National Society of Professional Engineers' code of conduct • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college required, or relevant equivalent industry experience • Seven or more years of progressive engineering and/or engineering supervisory experience in a related energy or construction industry • Demonstrated experience leading and developing engineers and driving technical standards • Renewables and utility-scale generation experience across wind, solar, BESS, or gas is strongly preferred • Professional Engineering (PE) license or Master's degree in engineering is preferred • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR) • Knowledge of engineering science and technology applied to the design of generation facilities • Ability to evaluate alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches using logic and reasoning • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects and attain results through a sound process • Ability to ensure accountability for team results • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) • Working knowledge, experience, or interest in AI (Artificial Intelligence) • Excellent organizational, scheduling, planning, and prioritization skills • Accounting skills, including math, record-keeping, and cost tracking for engineering budgets and cost performance reporting • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information • May be required to become a qualified individual in pursuit of company contract licensing • Estimated travel up to 50% of the time • Valid, independent U.S. work authorization required; Blattner cannot sponsor H-1B visas or permanent residency
