• Provide personalized blood cancer education, patient advocacy, and psychosocial support • Serve pediatric and adult blood cancer patients and caregivers • Empower patients in communicating with healthcare teams • Promote patient self-advocacy • Provide clinical trial education and referrals • Identify barriers to blood cancer care • Stay current on blood cancer research • Represent the IRC and Blood Cancer United at professional meetings • Collaborate on abstract submissions • Perform other related duties as assigned
• Master’s degree in social work, health education, nursing, or another healthcare-related field • Current licensure in candidate's discipline • At least three years of experience in a healthcare delivery setting • Previous oncology experience, particularly in hematology, preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft products and custom platforms • Ability to manage personal stress in difficult circumstances • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Bilingual Spanish-speaking and writing skills preferred
