📋 Description

• Develop, manage, support, and implement cloud security policies, services, and projects • Provide architectural security guidance aligned with HIPAA, NIST, and CIS standards for public cloud environments • Review designs and proposed changes and provide security-significant feedback • Communicate and present technical data to audiences with varying technical knowledge • Present to upper management • Manage cloud firewall, DLP, and vulnerability-scanning technologies • Support L1 in resolving cloud-security issues and follow or improve Incident Response playbooks • Research new technology and assist with proof-of-concept testing • Document security standards and processes • Collaborate with internal security and infrastructure teams to remediate vulnerabilities and security issues • Contribute to design decisions for new technology and novel uses of existing technology • Coordinate remediation of known vulnerabilities in the organization’s cloud environment • Educate the workforce on security topics through training and awareness opportunities • Provide less experienced security engineers with feedback and guidance on projects and skills development

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable • 3+ years of experience managing information security in a public cloud environment • Strong, demonstrated AWS expertise • 4+ years of experience in information security • 7+ years of experience in IT, preferably with development, network, or systems administration experience • AWS Certifications, Architect Associate or Professional required • Expert-level knowledge of AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, Inspector, and Trusted Advisor • Knowledge of AWS Shield, WAF, and CloudFront • Strong understanding of IAM and SSO integration via Active Directory, Azure AD, or ADFS • Experience with Control Tower or Landing Zone Accelerator • Experience with CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, Splunk, DataDog, Dynatrace, or New Relic • Experience with CloudWatch and CloudTrail logging and monitoring • Proficiency with Python, JSON, YAML, Bash, or other scripting languages • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, including CloudFormation and/or Terraform • Understanding of CI/CD on AWS • Expert knowledge of AWS networking and security features, including VPC, Security Groups, NACLs, ALB/NLB, and Transit Gateway • Experience supporting native AWS services and serverless architecture such as Lambda • Strong understanding of high-availability solutioning across multiple AZs/regions and Backup • Demonstrated history of moving mission-critical applications from a datacenter to AWS • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs • Healthcare domain knowledge and regulated-environment experience are a plus • CCSP, CISSP, CEH, Security+, or other security-related certifications preferred
