📋 Description

• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures • Work with IT leaders, data owners, and stakeholders to establish governance frameworks and ensure adherence to policies and standards • Coordinate with stewards of enterprise data asset catalogues, including Workday, Epic, Strata, and dashboards • Ensure data assets are properly classified, tagged, and accessible • Conduct data quality assessments and lead initiatives to improve organizational data quality • Use data governance tools to develop and maintain data dictionaries and data lineage documentation, or manually maintain dictionaries if no tool exists • Monitor and resolve data governance-related issues • Provide training and support to end-users on data governance policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations • Collaborate with hospital operations, finance, analytics, legal, compliance, and other organizational teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required • Five years in data management with proven experience in data warehousing and integration and comprehension of data lineage and data quality • Two years with a data governance platform such as Collibra or Alation • Three-five years within an academic medical center or large medical institution • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted • Prior experience in data analysis, data management, and data governance • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities • Ability to think critically and use sound judgment when handling complex data governance issues • Deep understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data security • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
