📋 Description

• Manage an assigned sponsored projects portfolio and perform post-award grant functions • Set up and update awards, analyze budgets and expenses, invoice monthly, prepare financial reports, and process re-budgeting • Communicate with investigators and department administrators regarding spending versus budget, receivables, unreconciled accounts, and deficits • Conduct grant closeout, including reconciliation, final financial reporting, final invoicing, purchase order liquidation, carryover, and accounts receivable follow-up • Communicate with sponsors regarding problem resolution, receivables, budget adjustments, and information gathering • Manage department responsibilities including shared inboxes, accounts receivable, vendor invoices, journal entries, purchase orders, LOC draw preparation, batch invoicing, grant-ending notifications, and subinvoice monitoring and payment • Prepare periodic financial reports and conduct variance analyses • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and sponsor-specific regulations • Support internal and external sponsor audits by compiling documentation and liaising with department staff • Provide financial guidance to principal investigators on budget modifications and projections • Liaise with the Office of Sponsored Programs, Finance, and external sponsors • Identify opportunities to improve financial management and reporting processes • Perform ad hoc analysis and support projects as requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• High School degree or GED required • BS/BA, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business, preferred • High School/GED: minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management • BS/BA: 1-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an Accounting or Financial role • Strong computer skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel • Strong interpersonal skills and analytical ability • Effective verbal and written communication • Strong deductive reasoning skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent customer service skills • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities • Knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), 45 CFR Appendix IX to Part 75, PHS grants policy statement, and other grantor requirements
