📋 Description

• Guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects • Advise customers on products and strategies aligned with their financial objectives • Identify and make referrals to other business groups • Support sales and customer-service activities to achieve customer experience and profitability goals • Foster BMO’s purpose, values, diversity, and inclusion culture • Build interdependent teams and develop, retain, and enable talent • Improve team performance, recognize and reward performance, coach employees, and manage poor performance • Create business-development strategies to grow the business, maximize branch revenue, sales, and customer satisfaction, and minimize operating losses • Develop and execute the branch business plan to drive growth, wallet share, retention, and acquisition • Identify customer personal-banking and credit-card needs and integrate marketing programs into customer conversations • Conduct cold calls and build community networks for new customer relationships and referrals • Support community involvement and maintain relationships with key branch customers and prospects • Resolve customer issues and complex or unresolved situations • Recommend and implement solutions based on business analysis • Develop strategic plans, determine priorities, and revise work plans • Monitor sales and service performance, identify gaps, and implement action plans • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations • Communicate goals, plans, and assignments to achieve financial and service goals • Lead implementation of new branch programs, products, processes, and regional/national initiatives • Monitor service-request and problem-resolution processes • Provide technical training and support to branch employees • Plan and control unit operating expenses • Maintain knowledge of personal banking and credit-card industries, practices, and trends • Build stakeholder relationships and maintain customer and Bank confidentiality • Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements and apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience • Previous supervisory or management experience • In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services • In-depth knowledge of competitive marketplace and product-offering trends • In-depth knowledge of branch operational processes and policies • In-depth knowledge of branch technologies, processes, and performance metrics • In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations, audit standards, policies, procedures, and directives • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience • In-depth verbal and written communication skills • In-depth collaboration and team skills • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills • In-depth influence skills • In-depth data-driven decision-making skills • Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry required for U.S. consumer-loan origination • Criminal background review and credit history evaluation required • Restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity • Compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
