📋 Description

• Design, develop, and review materials across project types and audiences, including slide decks, video scripts, leave-behind pieces, website copy, manuscripts, congress publications, scientific communications platforms, gap analyses, meeting summaries, and reports • Deliver thoroughly researched, technically accurate, well-written, client-ready work aligned with client objectives • Ensure junior team members’ work is scientifically accurate, referenced, audience-appropriate, and delivered within time and budget • Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to junior writers • Interpret client briefs, ask informed questions, and communicate requirements to the team • Manage client review and approval systems such as Veeva and DataVision and ensure compliance with industry codes • Lead medical conference and meeting events, including symposia, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and workshops, including on-site management • Develop therapy-area knowledge and share industry trends and scientific developments • Lead client meetings, briefing calls, and HCP or subject matter expert conversations • Build client relationships, advise clients, and help shape client strategy • Plan account-team workloads and communicate account activity and resourcing needs to senior team members • Own and delegate small-to-medium projects from start to finish • Contribute to new business pitches • Review timelines, budgets, hours, and scientific resourcing needs • Manage account finances, track hours, deliver projects within budget and timeline, and ensure timely timesheet completion • Manage 1–2 direct reports and provide feedback, guidance, mentoring, and quality oversight

🎯 Requirements

• Higher degree in a relevant subject (Ph.D., M.D., PharmD, etc.) • 4–6 years of medical writing experience in Medical Communications • Excellent scientific and editorial competency • Experience in building strong relationships with clients and HCPs • Ability to critically review deliverables for scientific accuracy and integrity • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior-level writers • Proactive approach and an enthusiasm for trying new things • Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple deadlines
