• Provide medical services in collaboration with a licensed physician • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team • Document patients’ medical and psychological histories, physical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes • Evaluate patient behavior to formulate diagnoses and assess treatments • Analyze patient data to determine patient needs and treatment goals • Write prescriptions for psychotropic medications as permitted by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements • Monitor medication usage, results, patient progress, and treatment responses • Document patient histories and perform physical examinations and assessments • Order diagnostic tests and perform delegated diagnostic procedures • Implement treatment plans in coordination with the supervising physician • Inform patients about the medical components of their treatment • Mentor staff and conduct professional development activities • Develop and present training content on medical topics relevant to substance use disorders and general health • Assess appropriateness for dosing, dose adjustments, phase adjustments, and treatment-plan changes • Monitor therapeutic intervention effectiveness • Provide counseling and medical education • Coordinate care with ancillary healthcare providers and make referrals • Review laboratory results and documentation from other care providers • Ensure medical quality, health, and safety standards • Provide medical input into program philosophy, treatment services, and patient care • Consult with emergency care providers • Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and hospitals • Attend weekly treatment team meetings and approved seminars and training • Develop effective relationships with patients and team members and re-engage patients as needed • Ensure treatment-center compliance with accreditation standards • Comply with accrediting, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements • Assist with activities identified by Senior Management
• Master’s degree • Ohio Certified Nurse Practitioner • Psychiatric certification required • D.E.A. licensure as required by BrightView • 1 to 3 years preferred, ideally with experience and understanding of substance use disorder treatment • Practice in accordance with the Ohio Board of Nursing rules, the Revised Code, SBHI policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements • Basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction • Current knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, including Opioid Maintenance Treatment • Ability to provide medical services within the scope of education, training, and expertise
• Fully remote work arrangement • Flexible working hours set by the provider and patient • Professional development activities, including in-service training and education • Required trainings provided by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies • Outside seminars and training when approved by the Senior Medical Director
