📋 Description

• Provide psychiatric mental health medical services in collaboration with a licensed physician • Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team • Document patients’ medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes • Evaluate patient behavior to formulate diagnoses and assess treatments • Analyze patient data to determine needs and treatment goals • Write prescriptions for psychotropic medications as permitted by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements • Monitor medication usage, results, patient progress, and treatment responses • Perform physical examinations and order or perform diagnostic procedures • Assess appropriateness for dosing, dose adjustments, phase adjustments, and treatment-plan changes • Develop and implement treatment plans with the supervising physician • Inform and counsel patients about medical components of treatment • Coordinate care with ancillary healthcare providers and make referrals • Review laboratory results and medical documentation from other care providers • Ensure medical quality, health, safety, and accreditation standards • Provide medical input into program philosophy, treatment services, and patient care • Respond to emergency care providers requiring consultation • Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and hospitals involved in patient treatment • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, seminars, and approved training • Mentor staff and conduct or present professional development and medical education activities • Develop professional relationships with patients and team members and re-engage patients as necessary • Comply with accrediting, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements • Assist with activities identified by Senior Management

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree • Ohio Certified Nurse Practitioner certification/license • Psychiatric certification/license required • D.E.A. licensure as required by BrightView • 1 to 3 years preferred, ideally with experience and understanding of substance use disorder treatment • Practice in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing rules, the Revised Code, and SBHI policies and procedures • Basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction • Current knowledge of substance use disorders, including Opioid Maintenance Treatment • Ability to provide services within the scope of education, training, and expertise
