📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers developing HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for building projects • Interpret mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes to ensure compliance with industry standards • Size ductwork, plumbing, and fire sprinkler distribution systems • Select appropriate mechanical equipment • Oversee drafting and modeling of systems using AutoCAD and Revit • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler equipment specifications using Word and Speclink • Review drawings and specifications • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for seamless system integration and project success • Oversee team activities and ensure accurate code interpretation • Hold responsibility for achieving unit objectives set by upper management • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team • Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations • Adapt to and execute additional assignments based on evolving needs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of building mechanical engineering or related experience • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience • Typically certified in Brown and Caldwell’s Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) Framework and progressing through SMS competencies • Excellent leadership skills managing a team of individual contributors • Proficiency with software tools for drafting, modeling, and developing HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler system specifications • Proficiency interpreting mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes and NFPA standards • Exceptional coordination skills with other engineering disciplines • Subject to a pre-employment background check • Subject to a pre-employment drug test
