📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers developing HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for building projects • Oversee interpretation and application of mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes • Size ductwork, plumbing, and fire sprinkler distribution systems • Select appropriate mechanical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler equipment • Oversee drafting and modeling using AutoCAD and Revit • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler equipment specifications using Word and Speclink • Review drawings and specifications and coordinate with other engineering disciplines • Hold responsibility for achieving unit objectives set by upper management • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team • Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations • Adapt to and execute additional assignments as business needs evolve

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of building mechanical engineering or related experience • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent experience • Excellent leadership skills in managing a team of individual contributors • Proficiency in software tools for drafting, modelling and developing specifications for HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems • Proficient in interpreting mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes and NFPA standards • Exceptional skills in coordinating with other engineering disciplines • Typically certified in Brown and Caldwell's Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) Framework, and progressing through the SMS competencies • Must complete a pre-employment background check • Must complete a pre-employment drug test
