📋 Description

• Support multidisciplinary engineering and project management teams with 2D and 3D electrical and/or I&C designs • Design and develop complex electrical systems using Revit and AutoCAD • Create wiring diagrams and electrical system layouts • Execute electrical drawing development tasks • Perform cable tray and conduit design • Assist with electrical equipment layout • Carry out lighting, devices, and circuit design • Engage in cross-discipline model coordination • Apply required levels of detail at project design gates and milestones • Manage schedules for electrical equipment and panels • Mentor, guide, support, and share knowledge with less experienced team members • Adapt to additional assignments as project needs evolve • Conduct site visits for field data gathering • Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, project specifications, and design gate requirements • Work with electrical engineers, designers, and project management teams serving municipal, industrial, and federal clients in water and wastewater industries

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of electrical design or related experience • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology, electrical drafting, or related field, or equivalent experience • Proficiency in electrical drawing development and equipment layout • Skill in cable tray and conduit design, lighting, devices, and circuit design • Ability to utilize Revit and AutoCAD effectively • Experience with power distribution system design, electrical equipment layout, conduit layout, lighting design, controls design, and grounding design • Experience with 3D/BIM design and 3D modeling using Revit • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Bentley for design and construction drawings • Hands-on experience conducting on-site surveys, inspections, and data collection for electrical design development • Experience or exposure to SQL database-oriented data management in production drawings • Knowledge of drafting standards used by large municipal organizations • Understanding of the National Electric Code • Experience with P&ID development in AutoCAD Plant 3D or Bentley OpenPlant PID • Understanding and experience with electrical safety and NFPA 70E • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts visually and verbally • Strong writing and communication skills • Ability to travel to sites for field data gathering • Selected candidate located in Mountain or Pacific time zones • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
