📋 Description

• Facilitate an active virtual learning classroom for Human & Social Services students • Prepare assigned courses in Blackboard by designated deadlines • Provide approximately 12–14 hours per week of instruction over five days per course • Facilitate discussions with substantive posts, higher-order questions, and supplemental resources • Respond to students, supervisors, and colleagues within 48 hours • Respond to all students’ initial discussion posts within the designated weekly timeframe • Grade student work using rubrics and provide detailed, individualized feedback • Maintain the grade book and enter or revert zeros according to deadlines • Meet final-grade deadlines for each course • Conduct student retention outreach and document outreach attempts • Apply active learning, authentic assessment, APA guidelines, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and online teaching best practices • Comply with ADA accommodations and plagiarism policies • Encourage electronic portfolio use and student participation in course surveys • Attend faculty meetings, workshops, seminars, and professional development activities • Participate in campus-wide retention and graduation-persistence initiatives • Maintain current discipline and distance-education knowledge • Serve as a Bryant & Stratton College brand ambassador • Collaborate with full-time faculty to improve classroom performance and course content • Support course builds, curriculum updates, committees, mentoring, and college initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Human Services • Preferred earned PhD degree • At least 2 years of online teaching experience • Three years’ experience in education at the college level within the last ten years • Expertise in the areas taught • Instruction in educational theory • Demonstrated leadership skills, integrity, and ethical practice • Problem solving, conflict management/resolution, adaptability, creativity, and sensitivity to diversity • Willingness to self-assess, take feedback, and incorporate results into practice • Ability to recognize and proactively address areas of opportunity and challenge • Documented management experience in an educational setting • Proven administrative, evaluative, analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications • Proficiency with technologies currently used in the Nursing profession • Ability to work within college, state, federal, and accrediting/approval agency regulations, policies, and procedures • Ability to use required technology for online courses • Ability to submit resume/CV, transcripts, professional references, cover letter, teaching philosophy, copies of license, and signed job description • Ability to meet physical and computer-use requirements
