📋 Description
• Works closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care to our community • Ensures services are provided within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines • Responsible for reviewing and updating health records • Measures vital signs, preparing treatment rooms for upcoming examinations • Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner • Prepares & reviews patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results and other medical records are correct and up to date • Performs clerical duties such as checking inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, and answer phones as needed
🎯 Requirements
• High School Degree or GED • Active Medical Assisting certification from one of the following (required): Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); American Association of Medical Assisting, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA); American Medical Technologists, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA); National Healthcareer Association (NHA); Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA); National Association for Health Professionals, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA); National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred, not required) • Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred, not required) • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
