⢠Perform QA/QC inspections of building systems, including Electrical, Mechanical, Fire & Life Safety, and/or Structural components ⢠Perform building assessment-type projects, including data aggregation, facility equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot studies, and surveys ⢠Conduct walk-through surveys of accessible and visible building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exteriors, roofs, and pavement ⢠Collect information from data plates for entry into web-based programs; photograph equipment and tags; evaluate equipment condition; apply bar codes ⢠Gather photographic documentation of equipment tags, data tags, site and building features, and observations ⢠Review plans, construction documents, and scopes of work against site conditions ⢠Review repair/improvement costs and available occupancy, maintenance, safety inspection, warranty, and property records ⢠Progress to completing complex building assessments such as Property Condition Assessments (PCA), ADA checklists, and environmental data collection ⢠Prepare written reports accurately describing findings according to ASTM standards using computers, iPads, and other electronic devices and software ⢠Conduct on-site inspections of building systems, structural integrity, and safety compliance ⢠Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions ⢠Communicate inspection results and compliance issues to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders ⢠Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other inspectors to maintain inspection consistency and quality control ⢠Maintain project-by-project communication with senior management regarding issues and potential problems ⢠Meet or exceed productivity and report-quality objectives ⢠Deliver timely customer service and proactive solutions to clients' needs ⢠Follow BV policies, SOPs, Work Instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures ⢠Maintain confidentiality of company information ⢠Travel extensively to client/project sites across the U.S.; onsite visits may last up to three continuous weeks
⢠High school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required; some college preferred ⢠Minimum of 3 years related experience ⢠Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills ⢠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ⢠Valid driver's license required with no significant motor vehicle report (MVR) points/violations (clean driving record) ⢠Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures ⢠Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff ⢠Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions ⢠Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables ⢠Time management skills ⢠Active listening skills ⢠Critical thinking skills ⢠Problem solving skills ⢠Oral and written communication skills ⢠Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment ⢠Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner ⢠Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service ⢠Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job ⢠Ability to successfully work from remote location ⢠Safely operate a motor vehicle with passengers ⢠Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (75 - 90% of time) to client/project sites across the U.S. required ⢠Overnight stays away from home will be required for at least a week for each week deployed to an onsite
