📋 Description

• Serve as the technical partner alongside Sales on discovery calls • Understand customer inspection workflows and data realities and translate them into deployment plans • Scope implementation effort, integration requirements, data requirements, timelines, and feasibility before contract signature • Run pilots and proofs of value using customer imagery and assets • Address architecture questions, security reviews, and data-handling scrutiny • Own customer deployments end to end, including configuration, integration, validation, and handoff • Build integrations connecting PowerAI to asset management, GIS, inspection data pipelines, and reporting tools • Use AI workflows and agent-assisted implementation to accelerate delivery • Identify and scope expansion opportunities within customer accounts • Bridge field and core engineering by converting recurring customer needs into reusable product capabilities and clear requirements • Build and ship reusable deployment tooling and AI agents across customer delivery and go-to-market workflows • Turn field patterns into reusable assets and product/engineering input • Report directly to the CTO and collaborate with Sales, Product, Solutions, and core Engineering • Help define the Forward Deployed Engineering function and establish its foundation for future growth • In the first 90 days: learn the platform, shadow deployments and sales calls, scope a live opportunity, lead a deployment, identify an account expansion, and ship a reusable deployment capability or internal AI agent

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, implementation, or professional services at a technical product company • Pre-sales experience partnering with account executives through a sales cycle, including technical discovery and implementation scoping • Strong Python or TypeScript • Fluency integrating third-party systems via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines • Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic systems, including prompting, tool use, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation • Experience putting agentic systems in front of real users • Experience navigating security review and architecture scrutiny • Ability to identify and scope customer expansion opportunities • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to ship solutions for undefined problems • Excellent communication skills • Willingness to travel roughly 40% of the time for customer sites and team onsites • United States work authorization; sponsorship is not provided
