📋 Description

• Design and/or check general arrangements, equipment plans, elevations, sections, control house layouts, grounding design, conduit and cable design, bills of material, and cable schedules • Perform project activities according to project schedules and budgets • Develop physical electrical design submittals • Prepare equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement recommendations • Coordinate with clients and internal project management teams • Mentor less experienced engineers and designers • Work on multiple projects simultaneously • Develop engineering cost estimates for proposals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program • Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT • 3-5+ years of physical electrical design experience in substations • 2+ years leading clients and other engineers • Knowledge of major substation equipment and its functions • Ability to select and specify substation equipment • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards • Knowledge of electrical calculations required for substation design • Knowledge of drawings required for constructing an electrical substation • Experience in design for substation physical electrical projects • Proficiency in substation layout and electrical design for a range of voltages (LV to EHV transmission level voltages) • Expertise in scoping, engineering cost estimating, and proposal support • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Understanding and adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
