📋 Description

• Determine client needs, recommend options, and execute multi-vendor hardware and software solutions for existing and new clients • Provide expertise in storage, networking, data protection, digital archiving, and other infrastructure technologies • Develop, validate, and verify rack elevations and cable layouts and lengths • Determine physical hardware and cable layouts according to configuration diagrams • Install server, storage, network, and related equipment onsite at remote client locations • Cable and label network cabling in data center environments • Perform general server and network administration, including basic OS and ILO access configuration • Scope and detail professional services deliverables and set clear client expectations • Document installation processes from start to finish • Develop advanced expertise and obtain certifications in Cambridge’s vendor solution stack

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in a data center environment • 5+ years installing network and server hardware • 5+ years with structured and data center cabling • Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network concepts • Ability to troubleshoot cable and network problems • Understanding of basic Linux • Ability to lift 50–70 pounds and unbox/move equipment for several contiguous hours • Expert-level knowledge of advanced computer hardware, software, and services • Impeccable communication and presentation skills • Ability to multitask with high attention to detail • Proactive approach, effective problem-solving, organization, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and ability to deal with ambiguity • Ability to work remotely, independently, and unsupervised • Willingness to travel 50% of the time • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis • University undergraduate degree preferred • Resume and cover letter in PDF format, including responses to the three application questions • Consent to a background check if required
