📋 Description

• Support customer requests for NY EHRs through discovery, requirements gathering, specification, testing, and delivery • Participate in discovery sessions and document current-state workflows, requirements, and open questions • Write functional specifications including business rules, worked examples, and edge cases • Perform software and integration testing of implemented solutions • Build and execute test cases using realistic data across multiple scenarios • Resolve issues requiring changes to implemented software applications and solutions • Document defects and evidence clearly and drive them to closure • Verify data flow and mapping between EHR platforms • Gather and review customer feedback and requirements with the development team • Prepare customer-facing documentation, including user guides, quick-reference sheets, and release notes • Deliver end-user training and implementation support • Maintain the request log and provide routine status updates to customers and internal stakeholders • Handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and company policy • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, QA analyst, implementation, or application-support role for customer-facing software • Preferably experience in behavioral health or human services settings • Ability to gather detailed requirements and translate them into functional specifications • Strong testing discipline, including deriving test cases from requirements and documenting results with supporting evidence • Comfort working within regulated environments requiring accuracy, documentation, and adherence to established standards • Ability to manage multiple requests and workstreams while maintaining follow-through and quality • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Sound problem-solving skills with a practical, methodical approach • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, revenue-cycle concepts, and front-office operations • Experience with behavioral health EHR platforms preferred • Working familiarity with New York behavioral-health programs and payment methodologies, including NY Medicaid, OMH/OASAS, APG, CCBHC PPS and OTP preferred • Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other behavioral health compliance standards preferred • Relevant certifications such as CBAP/CCBA, CSPO/CSM, PMP, or ISTQB/CSTE preferred • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed • Ability to handle protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and company policy
